Vacation Guilt – Begone!
I don’t get it. Some clients tell me they feel guilty taking a vacation. Please don’t misunderstand; I really enjoy working and interacting with clients and challenging myself to problem solve and deliver the best solutions possible. But when the vacation switch gets thrown – I’m all in! I recently read that 40% of Americans leave unused paid vacation time on the table every year. What?!?!
Here are some tips to help you lose the vacation guilt:
- Plan in advance
- Set boundaries
- Set the autoresponder
- Give yourself an hour to deal with work
- Keep remembering why you need a vacation!
